Why we built Ask Eli

It started with a bad experience. After dealing with a home warranty company that referred us to a service provider with terrible Google reviews — one that wasn't even in our area, but nearly an hour away — we realized how broken the system was.

Frustrated, we spent hours calling local companies ourselves, trying to find someone available, qualified, and nearby. It worked eventually, but it shouldn't have to be that hard.

Eli is a mechanical engineer by training and a Vice President of Business Development in his day-to-day career. Living in Southern California with his family, he found himself — and his neighbors — repeatedly struggling to find reliable home service pros on short notice. That frustration became the foundation for Ask Eli. His background in engineering and business development gives him a unique lens for building a platform that's both technically rigorous and practically useful for real homeowners.

COO & Co-Founder

Siciley runs the day-to-day operations behind Ask Eli — from vetting every Verified Partner to building the platform itself. She's the reason the experience feels personal: every company that earns a badge has been researched, reviewed, and held to a standard she'd trust in her own home. Alongside Eli, she co-founded Ask Eli with a simple belief — homeowners deserve to know exactly who they're letting through the front door, and finding that person should never be the hard part.
